The Full Story House History
Price range: £625.00 through £780.00
The Full Story is the most detailed ready-to-buy package we have available at Oak & Willow Cottages, designed for homes with a rich trail of surviving records. It goes far beyond a simple overview, creating an extended written history of your property and the people who once lived there.
Every package begins with a Pre-Research Check, where we establish which records survive for your address. If extensive material is available — such as census returns, parish registers, newspapers, directories, military files, probate, or even court and institutional archives — your home may be suited to the Full Story. When you order the Full Story House History, the Pre-Research Check is automatically added to your basket as Step 1.
Before you order, take note of which pattern template you would like used in the design of your house history. You’ll need to select your preferred style when completing your order below. View the pattern templates.
Description
What is the Full Story?
The Full Story House History offers a deep and immersive exploration of your home’s past. Through extended research and contextual storytelling, it brings together the property, its residents, and the wider historical context to give real insight into your home’s story.
Why choose the Full Story?
If your property was built before 1920, it often comes with a longer and more complex paper trail. The Full Story package allows time to explore a wider range of records and past residents, resulting in a richer, more detailed account of how the house and its history unfolded over time. With this package, you also have the flexibility to select whether you would like your house history presented as an A5 booklet alone, or combined with an A3 Wall Art print. If you’re looking for a comprehensive summary of your home’s past, the Full Story is the best package for you.
What’s always included:
- Digital research into the full spectrum of historical record collections associated with your home and its former occupants
- Extended written narrative weaving together the history of your home and its past residents
- Presented as a beautiful keep-sake A5 perfect bound booklet, plus the option to add an accompanying A3 Wall Art print
- A digital archive of the key records uncovered during research
Choose how your house history is presented:
-
Booklet Edition (£595) — An A5 printed booklet (perfect bound, 28+ pages) containing a detailed account, perfect for reading and sharing
-
Complete Edition (£750) — Both an A5 booklet and an A3 Wall Art print, combining beauty and depth
If you are ordering a Wall Art and would like it framed – don’t forget to tick the box before checking out.

How it Works
Every Full Story begins with a Pre-Research Check, where we establish which records survive for your address and to check there is sufficient information to fulfil your selected package. When you order the Full Story House History, the Pre-Research Check is automatically added to your basket as Step 1. If your selected package cannot be fulfilled, you will receive a full refund (minus the cost of the Pre-Research Check).
