At Oak & Willow, our aim is to share our love of period properties and historical research by making the interpretation of old records more accessible (and more beautiful). That’s why we offer three tiers of ready-to-buy house histories, designed to suit a range of interests and levels of detail.
That said, not every enquiry fits neatly into a predefined format. You may be searching for a specific piece of information about your property, looking to uncover the truth behind a long-held local rumour, or hoping to explore the long and layered history of a very old house in depth – requiring in-person archive visits.
For projects like these, we offer a Bespoke Research Commission service outside of our standard services. Each bespoke commission is entirely tailored, with personalised research scope and deliverables shaped around the aims of your enquiry.
Bespoke research commissions are priced individually and may be structured around an hourly rate, blocks of research time, or a fixed project fee, depending on the scope of research, timelines, property location, and other practical considerations.
